First sight of the bergerie

We wanted to know whether we could restore the bergerie to its former glory, but on consulting with the architect and French Property Renovation the view was that it was in too bad a state of repair. One wall even had a tree growing through it ! We therefore brought in a bulldozer to clear the site, but carefully kept the best stone and roof tiles to be reused in the building.
