Finding a French builder

In France, as elsewhere, the problem of unofficial, 'cowboy' builders is a huge problem. Although some can be fairly good handymen, none can offer a ten year guarantee on their work ('assurance decenal') and more so, it is totally illegal to engage them. Often a stone mason will offer to do your electrical installation, sometimes with some hair raising results!

We will select and deal solely with recognised official tradesmen capable of doing their particular tasks.

Building techniques and materials vary from one area of France to another. We will make sure that the builder is familiar and competent with the local methods.
